Sales Co-Ordinator – Reservations

Full Time

We are Yorkshire’s largest independent hotel group, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our guest experience. That is why we are investing heavily in our hotels, with recent refurbishments across all four properties. As one of our Sales Coordinators – Reservations, you will play a key role in executing all day-to-day aspects of the central Commercial Hub for reservations enquiries.

We are looking for a Sales Coordinator who is passionate about the hospitality industry and a real focus of the reservations side of our hotel. You should have a strong understanding of reservation principles and practices, and you should be able to think strategically and creatively.

Reporting to our Commercial Hub Office Manager and Assistant Sales Office Manager, you will be a key player in our commercial team, working collaboratively with our sales, marketing and our M&E and reservations team. The role

  • To take telephone / online enquiries advising on and placing customer requirements in the most suitable space, to satisfy the needs of the customer and the requirements of Cedar Court Hotels.
  • To take telephone / online enquiries for both individual and group bedroom requests.
  • Negotiate the best rates for the hotels.
  • Adhere to company response times and company processes and procedures for booking rooms
  • Achieve KPI target on system compliance and test call results.
  • To know and help promote the hotel’s activities and events.
  • Correct handling of deposits and all payments, in line with Company standards and procedures.
  • To be aware of (daily) selling rates, to maximise revenue and occupancy.
  • Identify any new potential sales leads, share, and follow up within the commercial team.
  • Assist with training and development of colleagues and team members.
  • Be an example to all team members, through performance, consistency, own standards, and a positive attitude at all times, promoting the desired work culture within the company.

Your Experience

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role within a Sales Team setting
  • Managing performance through aligning responsibilities and KPI’s
  • Understanding reservations within a hotel setting would be desirable

You will be based at our commercial hub located in our Bradford hotel. There will be some expectation for travel to the other hotels as required. Flexibility in working hours is essential, we try to keep ‘usual’ office hours however these can vary depending on the needs of the business. Although this role is office based there is some flexibility for working from home on occasion.
