Good 4 you ice-cream? Is that too good to be true?
Well we have all craved for a hot summer and it seems finally our wishes have been granted. But it is so tempting to cool down with ice cold fizzy drinks and ice-creams. But we all don’t want to be pilling on the calories, so I have been speaking to Lesley Hayes, Leisure Club Manager at Cedar Court Hotel in Wakefield to see if we can still enjoy our tasty treats – without the calories.
Lesley advises always to choose diet, low calorie drinks and to swap your favourite ice-cream snack with this cool alternative.
Good 4 you ice-cream is made by blending a tub of quark with 1 tub of low fat cottage cheese. Then mix in 2 scoops of any whey protein powder or mixed berries. Divide the mixture into 150 gram tubs and then simply freeze.
Good 4 you ice-cream – delicious ice-cream you can eat all day long that is very low in fat and carbohydrates but high in protein.
