Photo of the month: A panoramic view of Cartwright Hall, Bradford.

February’s photo of the month is a panoramic view of Cartwright Hall in Bradford.

Shot on one of those winter days with a perfect combination of low sun, blue sky and snow bouncing the light back into the shadows.

Panoramas are a format I’ve long been fascinated by. One of the best known panoramic photographers Colin Prior - for more examples of his work visit his website.

Impressive not only for the quality of the work, but the dedication required to be in very remote places, for long periods, until the right conditions present themselves.

Many phones now will now stitch images together into panoramas. It’ll be interesting to see if photographers like Colin Prior are still able to make a living in 10 years
