Groups & tours

Calling all Group & Travel Organisers: come and discover Yorkshire!

Whether you're organising the annual team away day, social club event, a sporting club/team function, or a series of coach tours, Yorkshire is a great destination.

With its spectacular scenery, world-class attractions, a year-round calendar of festivals and events, and a diverse cultural offering, there are a wealth of opportunities for groups and tours in the county.

Choose from bed and full Yorkshire breakfast or dinner, bed and breakfast packages. All rates include complimentary on-site coach parking, use of our Health Club, and driver and group organiser places for groups of 20 or more.

No-one knows Yorkshire like we do and this region is packed full of attractions. Better still, many of them are free! Our hotels make ideal bases for exploring Yorkshire, here are some of our top tips:

The Arts

Celebrate art at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the Hepworth Gallery or David Hockney’s permanent exhibition in Salts Mill. The wild Yorkshire moors are fabulous for photography enthusiasts. See a show at The Alhambra or Leeds City Varieties, or simply have a pint in the Woolpack!

Museums & Transport

National Media Museum, National Coal Mining Museum, National Railway Museum, Royal Armouries, Jorvik Viking Centre and Eureka are just a few of the acclaimed attractions on our doorstep. Transport enthusiasts will love Yorkshire Air Museum and a ride on the Pickering Steam Railway.

TV Location Tours

Within a break to Yorkshire you can see the old Emmerdale Village (Esholt), Last of the Summer Wine Country, take a ride on the Keighley Worth Valley Railway as seen in the Railway Children, and head a little further North into Heartbeat countryside.

Yorkshire Gourmet Tour

Wakefield have a Rhubarb Festival in February and Pontefract are famous for their Liquorice. The Wensleydale Cheese factory is not far away, visit York’s Chocolate Story and don’t forget our many breweries. Is any gourmet trip complete without an Afternoon Tea at The Grand in York, or perhaps in Betty’s Tea Rooms?

Shopping Trips/Christmas Markets

The city of Leeds and the new Trinity Centre is attracting shopaholics from far and wide, or perhaps you prefer Meadowhall, the Yorkshire Outlet Centre at Junction 32 or even The Trafford Centre. No matter which of the Cedar Court Hotels you say at, there is a shopping centre close by! Why not tie this in with a tribute night at one of our hotels! A leisure break in December for the Christmas Markets is not to be missed.

Historic Buildings

Immerse yourself in the history of Harewood House, Nostell Priory, Castle Howard and Skipton Castle. Many of these stately homes can arrange private group tours.

Looking for Something Active?

Try the ‘Three Yorkshire Peaks Challenge’, take to your skis at Xscape, enjoy a thrill ride at Lightwater Valley Theme Park or face your fear at Log Heights!
