Cedar Court Hotels and Harrogate Spa Water sign new deal worth £300,000
Harrogate-based Waterbrands, which produces Harrogate Spa Water, will be supplying around 80,000 bottles of Harrogate Spa Water a year to Cedar Court’s five Yorkshire hotels – Wakefield, Bradford, Huddersfield, Harrogate, and, from Spring 2010, York.
Cedar Court Hotels, Yorkshire’s biggest independent hotel group, has chosen Harrogate Spa Water for its quality, versatility and regional roots. Its sophisticated black and silver bottles are a suitably stylish fit, both for Cedar Court’s four four-star hotels and its five-star project, Cedar Court Grand in York.
John Horvath, Group General Manager of Cedar Court Hotels, said:
“We’ve worked out that our customers drink enough water every year to fill Harrogate International Centre – so we had to think very hard about which product to choose!
“But in the end Waterbrands made the decision easy for us: it’s a local company, so this deal enables us to meet our internal brief to source locally whenever possible, and Harrogate Spa Water’s slightly sweet flavour makes it a very versatile drink – a crucial consideration given the range of situations in which we will serve it.”
Paul Martin, Managing Director of Waterbrands, added:
“We’re looking forward to supplying Cedar Court Hotels as the company has a lot in common with Waterbrands – they’re independent Yorkshire companies offering premium brands, and we’re both continuing to perform well during this difficult trading period.
“Cedar Court has ambitious plans, not least creating York’s first five-star hotel, and we’re proud Harrogate Spa Water had been chosen to contribute to its success.”
