The Royal visit to the Yorkshire Show also gave General Manager Simon Cotton the chance to meet Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
They used the Cedar Court Hotel, Harrogate to freshen up before heading on to the show, after being flown in by helicopter on the Stray.  Simon Cotton met them on arrival and showed them to their room, they stayed for a cup of tea and some Betty's biscuits before heading for the show.  It was a hugh honour for the Cedar Court Hotel to welcome the Royal couple to Harrogate
